From the RecordOnLine
Mike Torelli, the authority’s business development director at Stewart, told the Stewart Airport Commission on Tuesday that the Norwegian Air flights should bring 100,000 additional passengers this year and 200,000 next year — a boon for an airport that only had 275,313 last year.
Norwegian, using new Boeing 737 Max aircraft, will start flying to Scotland on June 15, to Ireland on July 1 and to Norway on July 2. The flights will arrive and depart in the evening….
According to SeacoastOnline regarding Norwegian Air
It is looking to establish two U.S. bases of operation. Stewart International Airport in Newburg, New York, is expected to be one; Pease hopes to be the other. Flights would include several in Ireland and England, and one in Norway and Scotland with introductory one-way fares as low as $69\
Worcester is very much in the same category as Stewart and Pease!! Although it does not look like Pease landed Norwegian, Providence did.
