JetBlue

JetBlue began flying out of Worcester (ORH) on November 7, 2013 flying daily to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO). To date we have flown over 400,000 passengers through ORH on JetBlue.

Currently the airport is finishing installation of a CAT III Landing System, which will allow planes to land with very low visibility preventing the need to divert flights to Boston or outright cancellation of flights. Once that is completed, JetBlue will begin one flight to NYC and one flight back, which will allow us to connect to any other destination JetBlue flies to.

We can not emphasize enough how big a deal it will be once we have the NYC shuttle in operation. You will be able to fly from Worcester to JetBlue’s Terminal at JFK (T5). This is not your typical terminal, from their website:

T5, JetBlue's state-of-the-art terminal at New York's JFK airport, delivers the latest and greatest in airport experiences. With free Wi-Fi, 38 food and beverage outlets and 35 retail shops, it's received many awards and accolades for the customer experience, service and concessions.

Once you get to T5, you are then able to fly anywhere that JetBlue flies .

In the morning you can be in Worcester, drive to ORH, park your car for $7 per day or $42 per week and get on the NYC shuttle you are confident will fly on schedule even on a cloudy day with CAT III. At most it will take you 10 minutes to walk from your car, check-in and get through security to the gate. That is no exaggeration!!!

Less then an hour later you will be in JetBlue’s state of the art terminal looking for your connection to wherever you want to go. Maybe it is Seattle to watch the Patriots, Las Vegas to do some gambling, New Orleans for some Jazz or Jamaica to get some son. You will be able to reach all these destinations on a great airline in JetBlue right out of Worcester!

But it even gets better!!! Here is a short list of JetBlue Partner Airlines for example JetBlue has a partnership with Aer Lingus. Next year you can fly out of Worcester to NYC with JetBlue, then connect with Aer Lingus to Ireland Aer Lingus right out of JetBlue's Terminal 5. Think about that a short ride to Worcester and you will be in Dublin before you know it.
