CEO Robin Hayes is coming to Worcester December 7th and will most likely announce start of New York service the same day
In our humble opinion....
The last time the CEO of JetBlue came to Worcester, it was Dave Barger who announced the start of service by JetBlue out of ORH with daily service to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Next month marks the return of a JetBlue CEO, this time Robin Hayes, who returns for a Chamber of Commerce breakfast December 7th.
CEO's do not make trips like this unless there is news!
Since we know the the CAT III project is coming to an end and will be operational soon, it only make sense that JetBlue will announce when they will start their service to New York. This is so pivotal since this flight to JetBlue hub in NYC will in essence open up JetBlue's entire route map to Worcester. No longer will Worcester be limited to two destinations.
Since it takes approximately 3 months from the date an announcement is made to the 1st flight, we are predicting a March start. In addition we can very easily see a Florida Gulf Coast direct destination the same day also being introduced. Next year is going to be huge for ORH.
