JetBlue Ends JFK, Starts Orlando This Week

Read Time:26 Second

June 14th is last day we can fly JetBlue to JFK.

June 15th Orlando starts

  • 2:03 PM ORH 5:14 PM MCO (Orlando)
  • 10:24 AM MCO 1:13 PM ORH

It is a shame we have lost these two JFK flights. In retrospect losing these two flights for Orlando???? O’kay maybe not the worst trade ever, but surely a net loss to ORH.

Ironic that we do not start the Orlando flight until JFK ends so JetBlue does not exceed 3 flights in a day.

  1. With that, ORH basically lost 99% of all connections, just so we can have Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Don’t get me wrong, the Florida flights are great, and I have used them several times; but without the HUB connections, now will be tough for me to use ORH, besides going to only Florida.
Delta needs to consider Atlanta or at least increase the NY (LaGuardia) flight, so ORH can have a chance. People want to fly to other destinations, besides just Florida. Logan airport is a complete mess right now with all the constructions going on.

  2. We didn’t loose anything! The JFK flights were 50% loads, except for the vacation weeks. At least we will have two planes flying at 95% and the third plane to Ft Myers at 80% twice a week, my predication when it starts. We are not a business airport, we are a leisure airport, you can connect to many leisure destinations from Orlando. There must be something else in the works, why would they create a faster and more efficient TSA check in line when you’re flying 160 passenger planes so far apart in arrival and departure times. JB must have connection data from the JFK flights that tells them people who use the JFK flight fly to Punta Cana, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Aruba, St Marten and you can connect to those location via Orlando or FT Lauderdale. We need more leisure destinations, Tampa, Key West, Las Vegas.

  3. We can certainly hope that something is in the works. Your comment makes sense, as they are in fact reconfiguring the TSA lines at ORH.
Problem is that right now, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale are not offering many connecting destinations with JetBlue. Hopefully we can connect to the Caribbean soon. Las Vegas would also be great, but again, I don’t think that anyone will fly to Las Vegas via Orlando or Fort Lauderdale… JFK already had all those connections to Vegas, Aruba, Punta Cana, Puerto Rico, etc…

    1. I would like to see Las Vegas direct, Worcester- Las Vegas, Las Vegas-Worcester. I would rather connect in Orlando or Ft Lauderdale than JFK, the airport is way to busy and unorganized. JB flight will be full going to Orlando and Ft Lauderdale, passengers on the plane will be going to there destination in central Florida and southern Florida, passengers will continue to Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, Puerta Plata, Aruba, St Marteen etc. JB has to report numbers to stock holders, flying 50% load planes is not making money. I believe, 80% loads is the industry standard.

  4. We have used the JFK connection for flights west, more than using it for just Florida. Now that option is off the table. NOTHING IS WORSE than going to Logan, any time of the day. COSTS, TRAFFIC, CROWDS.

    1. JB or any other airline can’t fly flights with 50% load factors. The residents of central Massachusetts had 1.75 years to support the JFK flight and THEY DID NOT SUPPORT THE FLIGHT, JUST LIKE THE RESIDENTS ARE NOT SUPPORTING POLAR PARK. The residents of central Ma fly to Florida and the Caribbean.
