Telegram Story On ORH
This is the second puff piece on the airport in the past couple of months. First the Boston Globe and not the Telegram. In comparison Tweed New Haven Airport had 969,000 passengers in 2023, a significant jump from 701,000 passengers the year before and 57,000 in 2021. Seems to us Tweed is soaring, while ORH is stagnant?
Now of course we will get comments saying this blog is negative? Nobody wants this airport to be an asset more than us, but fairly where we stand is the only way we will have success.

Again, not enough flight options for passengers to choose from. The flight options available are very limited and connections are almost non-existent for ORH passengers. Planning a Caribbean vacation, and cannot use ORH due to flight availability, will have to go thru Logan. I’d much rater use ORH every time I fly, as it is very convenient… and that is not just me, I hear it all the time about people that wish we had more flights out of ORH so they would not have to go thru Logan or Providence.
By the way the City of Worcester need to fix the roads around the airport, Goddard Blvd. is becoming impossible to drive, due to potholes everywhere.
ORH should be thriving right now with a lot more passengers, just like described above in regards to Tweed. Somehow we need to get more destinations/frequency or airlines to fly to ORH.
