Airport officials mentioned they’re trying to get an airline to do the flight but nothing yet. It said it in the Boston globe article. Lot bigger struggle when you don’t have your own crews though because a lot of flights to San Juan leave up here late at night and arrive very early in the morning. Bradley’s leaves at 959pm and they have 2 arrive at 1259am and 653am. Now Bradley is different because JetBlue has its own crews but still. A 3rd party contractor isn’t going to have a crew come up for flights that leave at those times when all the other flights at the airport land and take off between 10 and 5
If JetBlue won’t do it, I think Frontier would be a good fit. They have a hub in San Juan and do not fly from either BDL or PVD to SJU. They could provide the niche that our airport needs.
I agree. I fly the Santo Domingo flight at 11 pm and the San Juan flight is full. Worcester to PR would be a hit for frontier
