  1. I need to respond to this post. I own a large property in Worcester 1/2 commercial and 1/2 residential. The taxes on the property in the last two years almost doubled. Now we have a minor league baseball team that nobody could care less about, people watch baseball to see players with big names get up to the plate or the pitchers mound. Worcester was in know position to fund the team and the stadium. The former city manager negotiated beyond his means, then he quite took a job he couldn’t do and is saved by the governor, what a joke. The manger lives in another town 30 min from Worcester. The Worcester public is going to get stuck with this mess, it’s our big dig, what a shame!. The first couple of years the park was thriving because tickets were free and people stayed around because of Covid. Sad situation for all Worcester residents and business owners. The minor league team could have played at lake park. That why providence didn’t care that they left.
