Prime air could be flying into Worcester soon. Amazon has a warehouse 1/2 mile down the hill heading toward Webster sq. Amazon has multiple locations in our area, Greendale mall, Sutton, Charlton. JB is buying spirit airlines for three reason, west coast gate space, pilots, new airplanes The industry has a massive airline pilot recruitment problem. Most newer pilots fly private jets, no hassle from unruly customers. JB planes are all over 16 years old on the airbus a320 side. Spirit planes are a lower average age. Worcester could benefit if the deal closes, but Elizabeth Warren may stop that. Alegiant airlines is looking to expand into Boston it seems like, so that could help Worcester attract Frontier or Avelo. Breeze airlines is going broke. The model is not working from what I read, millions in debt.
