January 4th First Fort Myers Flight
This is huge news
Our first Gulf Coast destination!!!
Anyone see any billboards, anything??
Worcester Airport has never been marketed correctly. Let’s hope the momentum of these 3 Florida destinations will drive more Florida destinations and flights/airlines going forward. My flight this past week-end to FLL seemed to be alot of people making connections. Maybe Puerto Rico will be in our future???

Boston Globe Story On ORH
The story is from February, but every time I read it???? Amazing, maybe it was from the Onion https://twitter.com/jonchesto/status/1757432534617530706
I’ve still been seeing the billboards on 290 and 146 with the 3 tails of each airline that operates out of ORH and the billboard saying “nonstop flights to Florida and NYC” but it’s an electronic one so you have to look at it to see it but it does come up on multiple billboards throughout those 2 highways.
I’ve seen multiple people connect at FLL for flights to PR and other places in the Caribbean. JetBlue for Fort Lauderdale is like American for Miami where those airports for both airlines are used for people who either are going to those cities or neighboring ones and then drive 1-2 hours (or less) but also let’s people who want to go to Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, etc. There is such a diverse population in Central Mass (especially Worcester) that a lot of people don’t realize you can actually connect to those places via the Worcester to FLL flight (you can also use MCO as well but those options aren’t as much as Fort Lauderdale and Miami have).
Note too: I know Miami for American is a lot bigger hub than JetBlue for Fort Lauderdale because Miami you can travel all over the world but I was using it as an example for Caribbean destinations mainly.
