Worcester Airport is like the mass pike exit years ago, someone is holding the airport back
5 flights today, and JetBlue cancelled all 3 almost sold out flights while American and Delta fly in with half full flights. What is wrong with this picture?
Spoke too soon, American just cancelled and Delta is delayed. We may go 0 for 5 after all.
ORH did go 0/5. Logan wasn’t pretty either. When the 2nd burst came at noon till 4pm, there was a lot of flights that had to divert because of the snow. Worcester did have a diversion for a flight that was suppose to go to Logan because of fog at Logan a couple of weeks ago and 5 private jets that were suppose to go to Bedford had to divert to Worcester because of it as well. If JetBlue ever brings their own crews to ORH, not only will it be beneficial for the airport, but it’ll also serve as an area for flights that have to divert from Logan because of fog, snow, or thunderstorms.
I’m flying out tomorrow to Fort Lauderdale and even before the cancellations today, the flight was sold out and there was 6 even more space seats left but you couldn’t go online and book them. Just hoping that the flight doesn’t get cancelled like it did in September and I don’t have to go to Logan since no flights for JetBlue on Tuesday or Wednesday starts again for 6 weeks this week. Plus majority of JetBlue flights for tomorrow are sold out out of Logan
Flight was completely sold out today heading to Fort Lauderdale, we left 30 minutes late but that was because a propeller plane was ahead of us for departure and could not get any speed at all but we still landed on time. Overheard a lot of people saying they came from different parts of Massachusetts: Worcester, Fitchburg, Marlborough, Framingham just to name a few. Everyone saying it’s so much easier than Logan. I got to the airport an hour before departure and no line for security, only took 3 minutes to go from the front to the gate. Hoping I’m not jinxing myself here but glad to see flights are back to 7 days a week starting February vacation and flights to Orlando and fort myers as low as $64 right now?!? Can’t ever complain about that
