American Flight
We agree that if there were some schedule changes, this flight could be successful. If there are no changes planned, how does 26% loads to other airlines thinking of flying out of Worcester??
If you do not make changes to improve these loads, this flight as it stands probably does more damage than good??

Look at their route map!!They are doing better than ORH with half the catchment area and no Massport in their...

Agreed! This is evidence that they are only at ORH to give them more freedom at Logan. There is no way they are making money, this flight is a loser. They could not have possibly done this bad when they were flying to PHL.
The fact is that Massport’s quid pro quo arrangements with these airlines is crushing ORH. Florida is clearly the most popular destination out of ORH, yet if I want to go anywhere in Florida other than Miami on American, I would have to make 2 connections as the only Florida destination American serves out of JFK is Miami. In a perfect world, American would fly to DC or Charlotte out of ORH or even LaGuardia. Way more connection options with those airports. Not sure who is making the decisions, but Massport must really be shaking these airlines down if they are sticking around with passenger loads less than 30%. While virtually every airport in New England is growing, we get nothing but scraps. I have 3 flights to West Palm Beach booked between now and February and while I would love to use ORH, you can’t get to West Palm Beach conveniently from ORH, so I am using other airports. And don’t tell me to fly to Fort Lauderdale and rent a car or take the train. That adds an hour plus to the trip and all else being equal, I’d rather just drive the hour on this end to Providence or Bradley and get to West Palm Beach earlier in the day.
