  1. It defies logic in all honesty. How does Pease have better service options than ORH??? Breeze could come into ORH and probably be the number one airline there in a very short amount of time. The only thing I can think of is that they don’t want to bow down to Massport.

On another note, I forgot to mention in a previous post the number of Connecticut license plates I saw in the parking lots at ORH during a recent drive by. There were quite a few. It’s too bad that Massport or the airlines at ORH don’t really promote service at the airport much. I see the Massport billboards pop up on 290 from time to time, but once you get outside of Worcester there is nothing. There’s a lot of untapped potential but when you have airlines that are only at ORH for the sole purpose of kissing up to Massport, I guess that’s what you get.

  2. Breeze won’t come to ORH as long as JB is there. The 1st routes they would launch are destinations already served by JB. The upside with JB is daily service vs. 2-4 days per week. The downside is only 3 destinations vs. 4 – ??. Hopefully we get some additional service with JB’s new partnership with United.

      1. TF Green, Bradley, & Manchester all have overlapping routes between JetBlue and Breeze. New Haven has overlapping routes between Avelo and Breeze.

The reason that Breeze won’t come to ORH has nothing to do with JetBlue. It’s Massport.

  3. Seems like the schedule is finalized for fall and most of winter for JetBlue so here’s what it is

Fort Myers: New changes! Flights start on 10/27 flying every Monday and Friday (last year was Sunday and Thursday). New for this year is they’ll go daily from November 20th to December 18th then go Sunday and Thursday until February 11th when it goes daily till April 28th. This has been getting better and better since the start so a good sign that this route is gaining popularity.

Fort Lauderdale: This one has some not surprising changes. First, starting September 4th the aircraft changes from the A220 back to the A320. For the month of September, the flight will only operate on Sundays and Thursdays. While this sounds bad, this isn’t surprising as load factors were around 50% for September last year. Once October 2nd hits, it goes daily except for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It’ll go full daily starting on 11/20. It’s scheduled to be daily after that but most likely there will be changes for January and February.

Orlando: Flights are daily until 9/2, then will skip Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the month of September then go back to daily on 10/2.

No reason to panic with that Fort Lauderdale schedule. Again the load factors for September are terrible anyways so it makes sense. The Fort Myers change to Monday and Friday I think will be beneficial for those who want to spend a long weekend down there. Orlando as of right now has one flight for the spring but that can always change and all schedules are subject to change.

Also, if JetBlue were to add a route, Tampa should be it. Breeze could do it too and easily make money. That’s one of the highly requested routes. I’d rather take a successful route in Tampa versus JFK again if it shows there’s interest in the airport
