Express Train To Boston Service Being Cut
Baffling. Spectrum news coverage. While we were asking for more service, MBTA has decided to cut services, and we did not know that was coming???

(I think my 1st comment got hung up in cyber space. Apologies if this is a dupe.)
On the bright side. I saw a billboard last week for FlyWorcester with the 3 airlines on it on the Pike heading into Boston. Then yesterday, I saw the same one on 146 when I was walking out of Walmart! I didn’t think to take a picture. Signs of Marketing life (pun intended). They must be targeting people heading to BOS or PVD. Anyone see any others out there?
More service for the MBTA won’t come until the second platform is completed. That’s been known since before construction even started. It’ll add 15-20 minutes to people’s commutes but from 500am to 715am there’s a train that leaves Worcester every 45 minutes that only stops at half the MBTA stops. I’ve taken both the express train and the train that makes half the stops a couple of times and there’s not much of a difference. Yes it does suck for people that come out of Worcester but it’s beneficial for the other ones who live in Grafton, Westborough, Ashland, Southborough, and West Natick. Plus, it’s beneficial for those who live in those towns as it gives an extra train. The express train will be back, it’s expected to be completed this winter and they’ve gotten a lot of construction done on it. MBTA has mentioned before too when the second platform is done, they want to have more express trains on the line which would be super beneficial to a lot of different people other than workers
Last night on my way home from Marlborough, I saw the same exact sign Carl is talking about. It was on the electronic billboard that’s right by Lincoln plaza going up that hill on 290 east. It had the 3 tails of JetBlue, American, and Delta next to each other and had on the bottom of the billboard “direct flights to NYC and Florida” with fly Worcester on top of it. At least there’s finally some promoting of the airport going around and especially on weekday afternoons/evenings, traffic can build up on that huge hill on 290 and if you’re going slow, you’re going to be looking around and can’t miss the billboard.
**The hill I’m referring to is the one that’s between the 2 exits that you can take to go to Lincoln plaza. Between exits 23 and 25**
