How about adding more flight options/destinations out of ORH, instead of solar panels? SMH
Currently waiting to fly to Worcester from Fort Lauderdale right now. Flight is pretty full at least 90% according to the seat map. Last Monday when I flew down the flight was only about 60% full. One thing though I’m disappointed about is I’m supposed to be flying down in May but the times changed from a 1245pm departure now to a 515pm departure arriving in FLL at 833pm. Those times unfortunately are going to deter me from using it and flying out of Logan or somewhere else instead. While the convenience will never be beat, being able to get to Florida in the morning/early afternoon is a lot better than 830pm at night. Bradley, Providence, and Boston all have early 6/7am departures and even Manchester leaves at 1045am. While the time will be great coming back to Worcester meaning that you won’t have to get up early and get to the airport (leaves at 120pm), the flight down just sucks.
I’ve mentioned this before and I will mention it again. Worcester always brags about having a massive diverse population and if you were to have an early am flight like every other airport does, those that live in Puerto Rico, Haiti, Dominican Republic, South America, etc. could use Fort Lauderdale as a connection airport to get to those destinations. I know this is true because in 2022 when I flew down to Fort Lauderdale and the time was a 6am flight, there were multiple people connecting to those destinations. Like I said, great time to go back to Worcester but coming down sucks especially when someone like me who has to be down here by a certain time to get something. When I rent a car, I have to get a parking pass and the place I go too has no overnight parking and the permit office to get one closes at 6pm so the late flight adds to that issue because you have to get it all in person.
