Turning To Next Page On The Blog

Read Time:1 Minute, 25 Second

Truly believe this blog helped put ORH back on the map. Maybe for those who were not around when the blog started, the airport was owned by the City of Worcester losing at least a million dollars per year, although covered by Massport, without any commercial service. We helped bring commercial service back to Worcester and maybe helped the sale to Massport.

Where we have failed was to make Worcester a true reliever/partner airport for Boston. Although JetBlue started 10 plus years ago to FLL and MCO and they have done great, have we truly built on it? I would say no. As far as American/Delta, can anyone truly say American/Delta is trying to build a following in Worcester? That is an absolute NO!!!,

Instead Massport is happy to show that their weak sister has three commercial carriers and advertise that on the websites and inside the terminal, although there is no plan or effort to make any of these airlines succeed at ORH. It’s just PR. Worcester does nothing to relieve the stress on Boston.

What is the next page for this blog?? Like the blog, I am getting older and plan to spend more time at our condo in Boca Raton at least every other month. BTW Florida is our number 1 target market out of Worcester!!

This blog will spend more time detailing out trips out of ORH, or why we chose Providence/Manchester/Bradley/Boston versus ORH. Maybe this will help make ORH a true asset for the taxpayers of Massachusetts? At the same time i will work on other posts as well. This should be fun.

Next trip to Boca in mid-August! Stay tuned…
