New Service Announcement Today
As we have been saying here on this blog for three weeks, a new service announcement was coming. Today is the day and it is not Avelo. It is in fact JetBlue to Orlando.
- JetBlue also twice per week to RSW, Fort Myers—looks like January, 2024
- We see service to Orlando starting June, 2023.
- Change for JFK takes place 6/15. The flight will be 1x a day. Leave JFK at 8pm and get to ORH at 9:16pm then leave ORH at 9:51pm and get to JFK at 11:00pm. The change will be in effect till 10/29.
If we pick up these two and lose one flight to JFK, that is a win for ORH. JFK should have been a win, but has never been marketed correctly. If we have to be the airport to fly to Florida, that’s fine.
Lets just duplicate what Avelo has done at Tweed with JetBlue. Lets get West Palm and Tampa next direct out of ORH with JetBlue.

Good read Then ask yourself how Worcester in not somehow included?????
It looks like Orlando service begins in June.
The other flight being added is Fort Myers. Just played with some dates on the Jetblue website and it is showing a nonstop flight from ORH to Fort Myers. The dates I searched were February 11th – 18th, 2024 which are Sundays.
Looks like according to JetBlue’s website, the Orlando flight will be daily and Fort Myers will be Sundays and Thursdays only to start. Unsure if they will make it a daily flight in the spring (would make sense since Red Sox spring training is down there) but for now you can only book Sundays and Thursdays only.
Prices however, for both flights are extremely good. Certain days you can book for only $30 each way and $55 with a carry on bag. They’re using the A320 for both flights as well.
To follow up on that, I’ve flown to Orlando and have been in JetBlue’s new terminal (Terminal C) at MCO, it is nothing compared to the nightmare that is terminal A & B down there and is extremely nice and easy to navigate through. Plenty of space to walk around, easy to get in and out of if driving, and (for those who have flown into MCO before in terminal A or B) you don’t need to take a tram to get from the gates to the main terminal which is extremely convenient.
It’ll definitely be a lot better for families that haven’t been to Orlando on JetBlue before and have flown on other airlines down there or those who used to fly into terminal A and/or B on JetBlue before the new terminal was open. Very excited for this flight and will definitely use it in the future
