Pleasant And Main Street Worcester
Look at this old picture below,
Buidlings on left were replaced by glass tower full of commercial space. Now these will be converted to apartments. Buildings on right still have some commercial space but mainly apartments now more than anything. Now the building on the right will most likely be converted to apartments.
Understand that nothing stays the same. It would be interesting to see how much commercial space space has been converted from the commercial to the residential tax base the past ten years downtown.
How many of the old office buildings downtown have been or will be converted to apartments?

The glass tower is not being converted to apartments. The former Reliant building on Chestnut Street will be converted to apartments.
Synergy who owns both buildings is rehabbing the glass tower for office space and commercial businesses. In fact, a new restaurant is under construction on the 1st floor by Niche Hospitality.
