Boston Traffic
There are literally hundred of tweets like this. Worcester 3 departing flights today, Boston imagine over 1,000. Massport missing a huge opportunity to highlight all the investments that they have made in Worcester. If we still had the two flights to JFK each day they would have been packed during Sumner Tunnel shutdown.
Traffic is crawling in and around Boston on 1st Monday commute of Sumner shutdown https://t.co/BCXP5oCkOL

I was just looking at Friday July 14th airfare rates from Worcester to FLL, the fare is 220. Boston to FLL two hours earlier is 460. Worcester is much cheaper almost by half over the month of July. With all traffic issues in Boston, fly Worcester. This is Worcester airport big opportunity to attract fliers from within a 45 min drive to fly out of Worcester. If a family of four can save 200 per person on a flight to Orlando or FLL most people would drive 1.5 hours plus parking is 45 for the week.
I just paid $164 round trip for the blue fare (free carry on and seat selection) to fly out in September from ORH to FLL. $80 for blue to go down to FLL and $84 to come back. You’re not finding anything that cheap ANYWHERE. Spirit’s cheapest fare to fly out of Boston to go to Fort Lauderdale that day is $5 less than JetBlue’s cost for its cheapest fare out of Worcester.
I agree!. The good thing, the flights are about 98% full. We are loosing a day a week on each Florida flight, that sucks for momentum.
Take a look the Breeze expansion at TF Green. They are doing what Worcester should be doing, going after the Florida destinations. The CEO knows that Florida is the destination of choice. You can can from zero temp to 80 in January in three hours.
